Well, it's been awhile since I posted something on this blog and that's because I've been really busy with schoolwork. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Anyway, I have 3 books that I have to read and there will be reviews for all of them. Right now I'm reading "The Truth About Forever" by Sarah Dessen and I'm about halfway into the book. When I'm done with that I will read "Along for the Ride" also by Sarah Dessen. And then I shall read "The Year I Turned Sixteen" by Diane Schwemm.
So stay tuned!

"Love on the Lifts"
Today is Saturday, and it's also my brother's birthday, so happy birthday to him!
My next book review will be on the book "Love on the Lifts" by Rachel Hawthorne. This is a teen romance novel and it's great for a nice winter evening by the fire.
The basic plot of this book is about this girl Kate who brings along some friends to spend their break in a condo in Snow Angel Valley. Kate is crushing on her brother's roommate, Brad. She doesn't realize that her brother's friend Joe likes her. A lot. What will happen to them? So that's basically what the book is about.
I really liked this book. It was very romantic and interesting and the characters were great. The two of my favourite characters were Joe and Aunt Sue.
In the first half of the book, Kate really annoyed me. She was just so clueless. I wanted to yell at her "Dude, how could you be so stupid!?"
Overall this book was great!

"Wicked" books 1-2 review ( Witch and Curse)
Weekend's finally here! Another reason to be happy!
And today I will be writing my review #3, which will be on first two books of the series called "Wicked". The two books are called Witch and Curse, and they're published in one big book. Ooo, I almost forgot to mention the authors, Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie are their names.
The book starts on a very sad and tragic note. This girl, Holly Cathers, goes wild water rafting with her family and her best friend. A bad accident happens, and Holly is the only survivor. She has to live with her aunt and her two cousins. Once she gets there, some very mysterious things happen to her and she starts learning some very dark secrets about her, and her ancestors.
Okay, so now you read that synopsis above, and you're probably thinking "OMG! That book's gotta be awesome!" Wrong. I really did not enjoy this book. It was mostly because it was kind of boring and confusing, and it seemed to drag on forever.
This book really confused me. It was because of all the changes in point of view. One chapter you're reading about modern-day teenagers in Seattle, and the next chapter it's suddenly about some people in France in the middle ages. And the chapters in this book were really long. A lot of them were over 30 pages long.
This book was just plain boring. I did not care for the characters and the writing was pretty bad. I don't recommend it.

"Magyk" Review
A new day, a new review. This one will be about the book "Magyk" by Angie Sage. It's the first book in the Septimus Heap series, and it's targeted to a young audience. This book was actually great! I had a lot of fun reading this awesome book.
The basic plot of "Magyk is that: This guy, Septimus Heap, disappears the night he was born. He was pronounced dead by the midwife. Very shortly after that, Septimus' father finds a baby lying in the snow. He adopts the baby, and names her Jenna. the questions are, who is Jenna and what happened to Septimus?
There were many great things in this book. One of them was a great variety of characters. They all had different personalities and they were very interesting.
Another great thing about this book was the huge amount of magic in it. I'm a fan of Harry Potter, so I really enjoyed that aspect of the book. The world in this book is really fascinating.
I also loved how there was an epilogue, which was all about what happened to minor characters. In most books, you don't get to find out what happened to supporting characters, so I thought that was great.
The only thing I did not like about this book is that it was a little, tiny bit predictable. That's the only negative thing about "Magyk".
That was a really awesome book! If you like books like Harry Potter, Inkheart and Fablehaven, you will love this.

Twilight
Okay, so the first book I will be reviewing is "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer.
This is like one of the most popular books ever. The first time I read it was two years ago, and at that time I thought it was amazing. Now I think it's kind of ridiculous.
The book is about a girl whose name is Bella Swan. She moves from Arizona to Forks, WA, to live with her father. At school she meets this guy, Edward Cullen. He is very mysterious, and soon Bella finds herself in love
with him. Later on she finds out that he is a vampire, and she will be in danger because of it.
The first time I read it, I couldn't put the book down. I read 180 pages the first day. It took me only 4 days to read it, and it's a pretty big book. There's something about the writing that just makes you want to read it.
Recently I read the book again, and I didn't find it as good as the first time. Not many interesting things happen in this book. The best part is the last quarter of the book. That part shows some traces of action. The rest of the book is mostly this: Bella tells Edward that she likes him, and he says that he is too dangerous. There is one chapter in this book where Bella and Edward just touch each other.
Overall, Twilight is both good and bad. If you have not read it yet, then I think you should, but don't expect many intriguing things to happen
