"Wicked" books 1-2 review ( Witch and Curse)
Weekend's finally here! Another reason to be happy!
And today I will be writing my review #3, which will be on first two books of the series called "Wicked". The two books are called Witch and Curse, and they're published in one big book. Ooo, I almost forgot to mention the authors, Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie are their names.
The book starts on a very sad and tragic note. This girl, Holly Cathers, goes wild water rafting with her family and her best friend. A bad accident happens, and Holly is the only survivor. She has to live with her aunt and her two cousins. Once she gets there, some very mysterious things happen to her and she starts learning some very dark secrets about her, and her ancestors.
Okay, so now you read that synopsis above, and you're probably thinking "OMG! That book's gotta be awesome!" Wrong. I really did not enjoy this book. It was mostly because it was kind of boring and confusing, and it seemed to drag on forever.
This book really confused me. It was because of all the changes in point of view. One chapter you're reading about modern-day teenagers in Seattle, and the next chapter it's suddenly about some people in France in the middle ages. And the chapters in this book were really long. A lot of them were over 30 pages long.
This book was just plain boring. I did not care for the characters and the writing was pretty bad. I don't recommend it.
